ESP ZeroCode AI

Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-02

1. What this service is

ESP ZeroCode AI (“the service”) generates ESP32 firmware from a description you write. It is operated by Espressif Systems. Using the service means you agree to these terms. If you are using it for an organisation, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.

2. Your account

You sign in with an Espressif account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. One person, one account — do not share access.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

4. Firmware the service generates

Generated firmware is produced by AI models. It is not reviewed by a person before it reaches you, it may contain errors, and it carries no warranty of any kind — including no warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose, safe, secure, or compliant with any standard or certification.

You are responsible for what you build and deploy. Review, test and certify anything before it controls real hardware, and especially before it goes near anything where a failure could cause injury or damage. Do not use the service for safety-critical systems.

Subject to these terms, you own the firmware generated for your products and may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercially.

5. Your content, and the AI models

What you type — product descriptions, specifications, conversations with the agents — and the files in your products are your content. To generate firmware, that content is sent to third-party AI model providers acting as our processors. The Privacy Policy explains which, and what they may do with it.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant Espressif the licence needed to host it, process it, and operate the service for you.

6. Publishing is public, and it cannot be fully undone

You may choose to publish a product. Publishing makes it available to anyone on the internet, with no account required:

Publishing is irrevocable in practice. Retracting removes our copies, but it cannot recall a copy someone already downloaded, forked or mirrored. Publish only what you are content to have permanently public.

By publishing you confirm you have the rights to the content, and you grant Espressif and every user of the service a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, distribute, display and (for source publications) fork and modify it. You grant the same licence for comments, build reports and anything else you post publicly.

We may remove published content, or hide a listing, where we believe it breaks these terms or the law.

7. Credits

Work is metered in credits. Your balance, allowances and any limits are shown in the service. Credits have no cash value, are not refundable except where the law requires, and expire if your account is closed. We may change how work is priced in credits; changes apply to future work, never retroactively.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is and as-available. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that creates risk for other users, or where we are required to. When an account closes, published content may remain public — see section 6.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Espressif is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, data or goodwill, or for anything arising from firmware the service generated for you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. When we do, the version date at the top changes and you will be asked to agree again before continuing. Earlier versions stay available at their dated address, so you can always read the version you agreed to.
