Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ESP ZeroCode AI is operated by Espressif Systems, which is the controller for the personal data described here. This policy covers the service at this site. It does not cover your Espressif account itself, which has its own notice.

2. What we hold

• An account identifier. When you sign in, we receive an opaque user id from the Espressif account service and use it to separate your products from everyone else’s. We receive your email address so we can recognise operators, and we record the date we first saw your account.
• What you build. Product descriptions, specifications, diagrams, generated firmware, agent conversations and build output. This is the service’s substance and we hold it so you can come back to it.
• What you publish. If you publish, the maker name you choose, your handle if you claimed one, and everything described in section 6 of the Terms of Service. This is public by design.
• Files you add. Photos you upload for a project, and device logs your browser uploads while flashing and testing real hardware.
• Usage. Credits consumed, which agents ran, timings, and a per-request log carrying the operation, its duration and your account identifier.

3. What we deliberately do not hold

We do not have your password — sign-in happens at the Espressif account service and no password is ever typed into this product. Public listings never carry your account identifier or email: a published product shows the maker name you chose, and nothing else about you.

4. Why we process it

• To provide the service — performing our contract with you. This covers everything in section 2.
• To keep it working and safe — our legitimate interest in operating, debugging, preventing abuse and metering usage.
• Analytics — only with your consent, which the cookie banner asks for and which you can withdraw.

5. Who else sees it

• AI model providers process your descriptions, specifications and code in order to generate firmware. They act as our processors and are contractually restricted to that purpose.
• Amazon Web Services hosts the service and stores your products.
• Google Analytics, only if you accepted analytics cookies.
• Anyone at all, for content you chose to publish.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

6. Where it lives, and for how long

Products are stored in Amazon S3. Transfers outside your country are covered by standard contractual clauses where required. We keep your products while your account is open; request logs and usage records are kept for a limited period for operations and billing. Published content stays public until you retract it — and, as the Terms explain, retraction cannot recall copies already taken.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. You can delete an individual product from the service at any time. To exercise any of these, or to close your account, write to zerocode@espressif.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

The service stores a small amount of data in your browser to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences — this is necessary for it to work. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them.

9. Changes

We may revise this policy. When we do, the version date at the top changes and you will be asked to agree again before continuing. Earlier versions stay available at their dated address.
